As of April 4, Euler Hermes Group appointed Paul Flanagan as CEO
Euler Hermes in Poland. Paul Flanagan replaces Rafał Hiszpański, who resigned
from managing Euler Hermes on March 15, 2016.

Paul Flanagan new CEO of Euler Hermes in Poland

Paul Flanagan began his career at Euler Hermes (then Trade Indemnity) in 1991 as an accountant, and in 1998 was named Financial Director of Euler Hermes in the United Kingdom. In 2002, he took responsibility for risk assessment, information, and claims. In 2007, he was promoted to CEO of Euler Hermes Canada and relocated to Montreal. He returned to London in 2010, taking on the role of Regional Director responsible for risk in Northern Europe.

Career and education of the new leader

Paul Flanagan is of Irish origin. Before joining the Euler Hermes Group, he worked as an accountant and auditor in London at Sun Exploration and Production — an international energy company. He is a chartered accountant, a qualified director with the Institute of Directors, and earned an MBA in finance and strategy from the Open University.

Concepts from the article

Production. The process of preparing and creating creative content, such as a video ad, photo shoot, podcast, graphic, website, or event. Includes pre-production, execution, post-production, quality control, approvals, and delivery of final files.

Why it matters: Its efficiency determines whether an idea survives to broadcast: budget, timeline, and quality are decided during preparation and execution, not in the concept phase.

When to apply: For any content requiring execution: video ads, shoots, podcasts, events, websites.

Risk of omission: Without solid production, even a great script ends up delayed, overbudget, or endlessly revised.

Summary

Paul Flanagan took the position of CEO of Euler Hermes in Poland on April 4, replacing Rafał Hiszpański, who resigned from managing the company on March 15, 2016. The new leader has been associated with the group since 1991, when he joined as an accountant, still under the brand Trade Indemnity.

In the following years, he held the position of Financial Director in the United Kingdom, was responsible for risk assessment, information, and claims, and in 2007 became CEO of Euler Hermes Canada. Of Irish origin, he gained experience as an accountant and auditor at Sun Exploration and Production before joining the group.
