Poland's leading provider of mobile device insurance continues its expansion into the Baltic region. In July, the company Digital Care entered the Lithuanian market, followed a few weeks later by launching its offering in neighboring Latvia. In both countries, the firm partnered with telecommunications operator Bite, providing its flagship program—screen protection insurance for smartphones and tablets.
Expansion into Lithuania and Latvia
Expanding into the Latvian market marks a continuation of the successful partnership with Bite. This time, however, Digital Care’s screen insurance will be integrated into new tariff plans, which also include free roaming for data packages within the European Union and unlimited free calls for apps such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, Waze, Draugiem.lv, and Delfi.lv. The Polish company’s partners in delivering the program are insurance company Sompo Canopius and international brokerage firm AON.
Development plans and talks with operators
Screen Protection programs by Digital Care are already available with leading Polish mobile network operators. The product’s popularity has drawn interest from foreign telecommunications companies. According to Aleksander Wistuba, Chief Business Development Officer and board member of Digital Care, the company is engaged in discussions with multiple international entities. These talks aim to advance its development strategy, which includes expansion into countries such as Croatia, Italy, Spain, Romania, the Czech Republic, and Serbia.
"We will consistently strive to achieve the position of an international leader in mobile device insurance and service solutions. Our partnership with Bite is going very well, but we do not intend to limit ourselves to it. We are in discussions with mobile network operators not only in the Baltic countries." - states Wistuba.
Digital Care expands into Lithuania and Latvia
Digital Care was founded in 2012. Today, the company holds a leading position in creating and managing mobile device protection programs in Poland. Its solutions, developed in collaboration with leading Polish and global insurance companies, are tailored for both individual and business clients. Among its partners are mobile network operators Orange, Play, Plus, as well as retail networks such as NEONET and X-kom.
Conclusion
Digital Care, Poland's leader in mobile device insurance services, continues its international expansion. After entering the Lithuanian market in July, the company launched its services in Latvia in partnership with operator Bite. Its flagship product—screen insurance—will become part of new tariff plans.
The company plans further growth, engaging in discussions with operators in countries such as Croatia, Italy, Spain, Romania, the Czech Republic, and Serbia. The collaboration with Bite is progressing well, but Digital Care does not intend to remain limited to this partnership.
