What this list measures

Nielsen calculates a group’s share of video viewing time across four screens — TV, computer, smartphone and tablet — at home, live and up to 7 days after broadcast. This is not a ranking of TV channels: online platforms and streaming services stand next to the television groups, and the results cannot be compared with channels’ share of the live TV audience.

How to read these numbers Nielsen, four screens

Groups

With a catalogue profile

  • Nielsen: everyone 4+, Total Video Consolidated +7 InHome, SHR% share of the content distributor in video viewing time across four screens. We copied the figures from Nielsen’s infographic (the release gives no percentage values for the distributors) and calculated the change against July ourselves as the difference of the shares August − July (Mediarun calculation).
  • Groups that were not in the top 10 in July have no change against July. For some groups the infographic shows only the television bar — without a split into the other screens.
  • The composition of the groups comes from Nielsen’s release (e.g. Polsat includes, among others, TV4, TV6 and Wydarzenia 24; Warner Bros. Discovery — TVN, TVN24, TVN7 and the Discovery channels).
