AcronymsAbbreviations everyone uses and few explain

SSH

Secure Shell

An encrypted protocol for remote server access. Enables running commands, transferring files via SFTP, using cryptographic keys, and tunneling services without exposing ports publicly.

Why it matters

This is the only proper way to access a server: encrypted, using keys instead of passwords, and allowing service tunneling without exposing them to the public.

What's missing without it

Without SSH, server administration requires unencrypted protocols or control panels — and a stolen key from a panel hurts less than a compromised root password.

When it is used

Whenever working on a server: running commands, file transfers (SFTP), tunnels, and deployment automation.

How we use it

The administrator connects to the server, checks logs, and updates Docker containers.
